Getting to and from SFO

Many convenient options are available for passengers traveling to and from the airport.

For those planning to drive, passenger pick-ups and drop-offs are allowed, and SFO’s parking garages are open. 

The Rental Car Center is open and easily accessed from the terminals via AirTrain.

Taxis and App-Based Rides are available.

BART operates rapid rail service to northern San Mateo County, San Francisco and the East Bay directly from the BART Station in the International Terminal. Due to a decrease in ridership, trains currently operate every 30 minutes, with some extra trains during busier times. BART service hours are weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Weekday trains will arrive at SFO at :13 and :43 past the hour and depart SFO at :26 and :56 past the hour, with some exceptions late at night or early in the morning. The last train leaves SFO at 9:04 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and 9:18 p.m. on Sundays. View BART's modified schedule.

SamTrans public bus service stops directly at SFO's International Terminal, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Due to a decrease in ridership, SamTrans has reduced service. View the SamTrans bus schedule.
