Quarantine Information for California and Santa Clara County:

The California Public Health Travel Advisory instructs persons arriving in California from other states or countries, including returning California residents, to practice self-quarantine for 10 days after arrival. These persons should limit their interactions to their immediate household. This recommendation does not apply to individuals who cross state or country borders for essential travel. Please note that anyone who has COVID-19 or is a recent close contact of someone with COVID-19 must isolate or quarantine*.  

Additionally, Santa Clara County has implemented a mandatory quarantine for any person arriving to and staying in the county.

Santa Clara County  - Mandatory Quarantine

If you are traveling to San Jose and other parts of Santa Clara County, whether by air, car, train, or any other means, directly or indirectly from a point of origin greater than 150 miles from the County’s borders, you must quarantine for at least 10 days after arrival. Please refer to Santa Clara County’s Mandatory Directive on travel for complete information, including exceptions to the quarantine.

*Quarantine means to remain inside without physical interaction with others except as needed in emergency or health care situations.
